ROOT CANAL THERAPY

Suffering from a toothache?
A root canal can help save a decayed or infected tooth.
Root Canal Therapy in Surrey
Root Canals tend to get a bad rap, but they are an excellent treatment option to save a tooth from decay and infection. If you are suffering from a bacterial infection in your tooth, or from pain due to fractures, chips, or other tooth injuries, your dentist may suggest root canal therapy. At Fleetwood Dental in Surrey, all our root canals are performed by well-trained experienced dentists and their assistants in a clean, caring environment.
How a Root Canal Is Done
Local anesthetic is applied to numb the affected tooth. Then a rubber dam is wrapped around it to keep it dry. The dentist creates an opening in the tooth, and its pulp and any infection are removed. The tooth is then cleaned and sealed.
The remaining steps of the procedure are often done at a second appointment. They include filling the tooth and root with a special dental material, covering the opening of the tooth, and applying a crown that will protect the tooth from further damage. That’s it!
